LaunchIt

A program utilizing the internationally known CO. STARTERS core curriculum to train all aspiring entrepreneurs to become successful business owners.

With The LaunchIt Program you will:

  • Develop & fine tune ideas - Gain a deeper understanding of how to create a sustainable business and bring your idea to life.
  • Make progress faster & with confidence - Develop skills to understand the market and focus on the most critical activities needed to move forward.
  • Receive real-time feedback - Become a part of a community of peers, mentors, and business services that provide the accountability needed to accomplish your goals.

 

Lift

A program formulated and designed to teach teens 13-19 through basic workshops on the following topics

  • Financial literacy: Where they will understand the importance of credit and credit building. You will learn how to manage your money and build your credit history.
  • Interviewing skills: You will be showed how to properly give an interview and the importance of asking the right questions.
  • Resume Building: We will help you create a resume from all your volunteer work, support work you have done helping family, friends, church, and school.
  • Job Applications: We will show you how to properly fill out a job application and what are the correct words to use for general questioning.
  • Mentorship: You will have the guidance and assistance of staff members and community leaders who seek only to improve your readiness for the future.
  • Peer group: We will have an open discussion of everyday decision-making problems and work through them for the best resolve.
  • Skills Development: We work on sharpening your skills in keyboarding, customer service, using Microsoft tools such as Word, Powerpoint, Excel spreadsheets, and learning Adobe Pro.

 

New Beginnings

A Program supporting the previously incarcerated with the following workshops.

Every 1st & 3rd Saturday of the month.

Peer-to-peer group meetings:

Coming together and learning what the next step is in life. Understanding your struggle with like minds and those who have gone that way before you.

Interviewing skills:

We prep you for job placement with in-house one on one live interviews helping you gain your confidence to interview well, Professional headshots: we have a local photographer who will come in and take professional headshots for cover letters.

Job Placement:

We have several partners who work with us in assisting you with a job throughout the city, resume enhancement and cover letters: we will take a current resume and cover letters that you may have and help you redefine it if need be or create one and tailor it to your skills and work history. Through our partners they will help with, state Ids and record expungement.
